In 2014 we were approached by New York based woodworker and designer Lumber Juan about the Resurrection collaboration series.
What made this collaboration special was that all the boards were made from reclaimed oak.
Using reclaimed oak for these boards was a very specific process because we wanted timbers that had some aged beauty but couldn't use any wood that had lost any of it structural integrity. This meant that each board was careful examined and chosen specifically for this project.
Our hope was to create something beautiful out of something that would have otherwise been discarded, hence the use of reclaimed oak.
We wanted to give something that had been tossed to the side "new life" as something beautiful and functional.
With this particular project we made a t-shirt to go along with the collaboration.
